What Will You Find Inside Dressage School Online?

When I coach a rider online, I want the experience to feel as rich as being there with them in the arena.

I want to see what they see, hear what they are thinking and ask the questions that help them understand more about what is happening between them and their horse. Over time, the possibilities for doing that online have become much more interesting, from watching a ride together and looking for clues in a video to preparing for a competition or thinking about what to explore the next time they ride.

How do I start an online dressage coaching session?

Online coaching can be as simple as filming your ride and sending me the video, or we can work together live while you are riding. If you have a Pivo Pod, horse tracking allows the camera to follow you around the arena while I watch and coach.

Getting the technology set up before your session means that when you start riding, your attention can be on your horse and the coaching. I have included Pivo set-up guides inside Dressage School Online to help you prepare.

The Pivo Arena app can connect your Pivo Pod to me for a live coaching session, or someone can film you using the app and connect with me that way, so you can still use Pivo Arena for coaching without owning a Pod.

What can I learn from my last dressage test?

Riding a dressage test gives you one experience of your performance, while your test sheet gives you the judge's perspective. I find it fascinating to put the two together and consider what the judge saw, how that compares with what you felt and where the clues in your test sheet might lead you next.

Understanding the judge's perspective adds another layer to learning about your performance in that test.

It is also very easy to come home from a competition thinking about the marks you wanted to improve and forget some of the best parts of your performance. Inside Dressage School Online, you can scan your test sheet and receive an insight that picks out a highlight from your test.
