First Sunday in Advent

coaching Nov 27, 2022

I’ve been working behind the scenes putting the finishing touches to Season 11 of my Advent Calendar. I have released a few teasers on social media and will bring you all the details on November 30th.

The first Sunday in Advent is here and it’s a beautiful time of year. My thoughts turn to what’s been happening lately and my hopes for the future. It’s been an eventful year welcoming Shadow and Salvation to the family. I’m pleased to report that they are getting to know each other which is sweet because Shadow was rescued and I don’t think he knew about the Equestrian Life before joining us.

So Salvation’s stable name is Humpty. He knows both names and has been a huge influence in my life this year. Regular readers of my blog will know our story and how he has helped me with my rider rehabilitation. I owe him an updated competition report and as we are awaiting results I may well write that at Twixmas. He is excelling in online Dressage Competitions and has reminded me how much fun it is to ride tests. I’ll admit that secretly I worried if I’d return to competition. Humpty however is enjoying our campaign and grows an extra hand each time we ride in the white boards. Now I don’t  worry so often about whether I can ride because Humpy reassures me that I can. Humpty has given me a future to hope, plan and dream for. Shadow and Humpty have both brought laughter and mischief back to our family.
