Feel Good Dressage

Enjoy the time you spend schooling your horse.
Schooling is time with your horse: time to ride, learn, experiment and notice the small moments when something begins to come together.
For me, Feel Good Dressage has grown from more than thirty years of riding, competing and coaching. It is rooted in the belief that learning can be enjoyable for both horse and rider.
Some rides give you a wonderful feeling. Others leave you with questions. You might notice that an exercise helped your horse find a better balance, that your aids became clearer, or that something you have been working on suddenly felt easier to communicate.
Those moments give you useful information for what you do next.
What will you explore when you ride?
You might work on a circle, ride a centre line, practise your transitions or simply pay closer attention to rhythm, balance and your horse’s response to your aids.
As you ride, notice what happens and use that information to shape your schooling.
The Feel Good Dressage Mini Challenge gives you ridden exercises to try with your horse.
Choose something you would like to develop, try the exercises as you ride and use the workbook to help you decide what you would like to work on next.
Enjoy more of the thinking behind Feel Good Dressage and bring it into the time you spend with your horse.
Feel Good Dressage explores confidence, progress, your partnership with your horse and the everyday experiences that shape your riding.
Dip into it when you have a question, return to it between rides, or use the prompts to think about what you would like to develop next.
