Your Equestrian Dreams

You are not behind. You are in a season.

Do you remember the last time you and your horse were so in tune that you flowed around the arena, concentrating and content, with no thoughts beyond the present moment together?

Then there are the more challenging rides. The ones where you worry you may not ride as you hope, and everyone else appears to have everything figured out.

It is a familiar story for riders everywhere. We want to ride at our best. We want to feel confident and enjoy our time with our horse. Sometimes though, we put pressure on ourselves.

We wonder whether we are where we hoped to be. Whether progress is happening quickly enough. Whether the dreams we have for ourselves and our horses still feel possible.

Learning changes us as riders.

The more we understand, the more we begin to notice. Sometimes that feels exciting.

Sometimes it leaves us aware of how much there is still to explore and experience with our horses.

When we ride, we notice more about ourselves, our horses and the way we work together.

Introduction to Seasons

The Dressage Seasons guide explores these different phases through a series of rider seasons. You may recognise one immediately. You may find yourself drawn to several.

The seasons recognise the different phases we move through with our horses. Some may feel familiar, returning again with new horses, experiences and perspectives.

Recognising your season offers a different way to look at your journey and appreciate where you and your horse are today.

You are not behind. You are in a season.
