Writing For Your Horse

Horse Alison Kenward wrote about in her Your Horse Magazine article on draw reins.

In 2024 I was invited to contribute to Your Horse Online, writing about subjects including horses that buck and the use of draw reins.

The brief was to bring my own experience to the topics, which meant revisiting some of the horses I have ridden and trained over the years. The horse pictured above was part of the story behind my article about draw reins. He arrived with them as part of his tack, and I took them off.

Writing the articles took me back through the journeys I had shared with different horses. Some memories made me smile; others reminded me how much I still miss those friends.
