Your Equestrian Dreams

Why Riding Dreams Matter

coaching competition confidence May 17, 2025

Have you ever caught yourself saying, “One day, I’d love to…” and carried on with your day?

Maybe it was about learning to ride again.

Taking the next step in your schooling.

Spending more time with your horse and doing more of the things you enjoy together.

Riders dream between rides more often than we realise.

We think about future lessons, experiences we would love to have, and the moments that matter most to us.

Riding dreams matter because they create space to think.

To notice the moments that matter, remember the experiences we enjoy most, and imagine the future we would like to create with our horses.

Many of these thoughts happen between rides.

Dreaming invites us to pause and think about what matters, remember experiences that stayed with us, and imagine the future we would like to create with our horses.

Giving those thoughts space can be the beginning of something new.

Sometimes dreaming starts with a question.

What matters to me?

What experiences would I love more of?

How would I like life with my horse to feel?

Giving these thoughts space can be helpful.

Taking a few moments to jot down ideas, experiences, and dreams often helps us notice what matters and spend more time thinking about the future we imagine with our horses.

Pick up your copy of the Achieve Your Equestrian Dream guide for more ideas to help you reconnect with your riding dreams, space to explore your thoughts and ideas, and time to think about the future you imagine with your horse, the moments that matter, and how you would like life with your horse to feel.
