One of the greatest pleasures of running an equestrian coaching business is the opportunity to work with horses and riders, getting to know each partnership and supporting them as they learn, develop and enjoy their riding.

It's challenging, rewarding work, and there's enormous satisfaction in seeing a horse and rider make progress together.

Running the business that makes those experiences possible brings its own challenges. Alongside the coaching, there are decisions about income, working hours, administration, client relationships and how to build a business that remains enjoyable and sustainable for you.

There's also your own professional development to think about, from maintaining qualifications and essential training to exploring new opportunities, developing your career and enjoying the support of a professional network.

All of these are part of life as a professional equestrian coach, and they deserve time, attention and opportunities to learn.

Have you ever had an idea for a coaching session or programme that you'd be really excited to deliver?

You can already imagine the horses and riders taking part, the activities you'd enjoy coaching and the conversations you'd have afterwards.

Then you start thinking about what it would take to make it happen. Finding a suitable venue, deciding what to charge, attracting enough riders and working out how everything would fit into your coaching diary.

Those practical decisions are part of bringing an exciting idea to life, and exploring them can be every bit as interesting as developing the coaching itself.

Coach to Coach

Coach to Coach offers equestrian coaches practical business learning, professional insight and opportunities to explore ideas, helping them make confident decisions and take the next steps in developing businesses that work for them.

You might be curious about introducing a new coaching service, looking for ways to make your working week more manageable or wondering how to turn an exciting idea into something riders can book and enjoy.

I share ideas, insights and practical experience from more than 30 years in equestrian coaching, running my own business, developing new services and exploring opportunities across the equestrian industry. I enjoy helping coaches discover what's possible and think through how an idea could work in their own business.

One way to get involved with Coach to Coach is through my webinars, where we explore different aspects of developing an equestrian coaching business.

Each session offers an opportunity to discover useful ideas, learn about practical approaches and think about how they might work in your own business, with time for questions and conversation.

I'm starting with Developing Your Coaching Business: From Ideas to Action on 11 November, exploring how an idea that excites you can become something you're ready to put into practice.
