Let's Countdown to Christmas Together
There’s something special about December in the equestrian world. The darker mornings, the bright yard lights, the cosy layers, the shared smiles between riders. It all blends into a rhythm we seem to fall into together and every year, it still feels a little magical.
The Equestrian Advent Calendar is my way of celebrating that feeling. A countdown filled with thoughtful finds, seasonal treats, and small discoveries that make this time of year brighter. Each door is chosen with the same care we use when tending to our horses: noticing what feels good, what lifts the day, and what brings a touch of joy to winter.
Some gifts will spark nostalgia, others will invite curiosity, and many will simply make you smile. You might find something to enjoy yourself, something to share, or something that becomes part of your own December traditions.
And on Christmas Day, there’s a small digital card waiting, a moment of calm and kindness to close the season. Whether you open each door with a cup of tea, during a quiet moment at the yard, or as a way to reconnect with your festive spirit…
I’m so happy you’re here for the countdown.
The Rider Edit
Small Christmas gifts have a quiet way of creating connection. Horses never expect them, yet they lean into the care we wrap into every choice
A new saddle pad in a colour that makes you smile but also looks beautiful on them. A brush that feels good in your hand and soft on their coat. Little things that become shared moments: part practical, part joyful, entirely yours together.
If you’d like to peek inside this year’s collection, you can open the Advent Calendar. Each door reveals one of the presents I’ve chosen to share. .
Rider Edit Christmas Special 2025
Day One
This made the list because it made me smile the moment I saw it. Horses and Christmas have a way of bringing out the softer side of the season. A little spark of joy, a shared moment, and a reminder that connection can be as simple as a card sent with care.
Day Two
This made the list because it has the simple elegance of a grown-up paper chain, but the horse shapes still hold that gentle connection to childhood, something cute, thoughtful, and lovely to hang in a hallway or the tack room.
Day Three
This made the list because Fable’s matching ribbon and thoughtful wrapping turn a simple parcel into something special — a beautifully prepared moment of joy before you’ve even seen what’s inside.
Day Four
This made the list because these two ponies made me smile the moment I saw them. They reminded me of every pony I’ve known and loved — all that gentle mischief, sweetness, and character in one look.
Day Five
This made the list because the warm burnt orange brings a welcome lift to winter layers, and Pikeur’s tried-and-tested fit makes it a piece you can trust on every ride.
Day Six
This made the list because Oilily prints have been part of my life for years. The vibrant tops were worn everywhere, and when they retired from daily wear, they joined my riding wardrobe bringing colour, warmth, and a layer of memories to winter days.
Day Seven
This made the list because it brought back memories of winter rides where the cold hardly mattered — just you, your horse, and that joyful bareback freedom that stays with you long after the moment is gone.
Day Eight
This made the list because these felted Dala ponies fit my vision for this year’s Christmas perfectly. They’re handmade, sweet, and just so lovely on the tree and while I don’t have time to learn felting, I definitely have time to enjoy them.
Day Nine
This made the list because gingerbread houses always spark my imagination. In theory I’d create the whole thing; stables and a nativity scene included but realistically it’s a project best left to Pinterest. This decoration captures the charm without the architecture.
Day Ten
This made the list because a mystery box invites you to imagine exactly what you’d love to find. And with Dala-horse paper and ribbon this beautiful, the outside already feels like a gift of its own.
Day Eleven
This made the list because the soft colours and simplicity of the paper stables offer a gentle pause. It’s a pony-inspired Christmas activity that gives you space, focus, and a little joy even if the finished piece takes a bit of patience to achieve.
Day Twelve
This made the list because it combines so many things I love; chestnut horses, tattersall check, and vintage equestrian art. It even reminded me of my pony’s first rug and all the memories wrapped up in it.
Day Thirteen
This made the list because it’s real chocolate made with care. Cadbury family heritage, sweet packaging, and proper ingredients that feel reassuringly simple and delicious
Day Fourteen
This made the list because this little platter made me smile, snowmen, puddings, stars, snowflakes. They look so simple and cheerful, and I bet they taste even more delicious than they seem.
Day Fifteen
This made the list because rhubarb and custard is one of my favourite flavours and folded into a golden Danish pastry, it becomes completely irresistible.
Day Sixteen
This made the list because it’s light, airy, and so pretty. A delicate little dessert and another gentle nod to my love of rhubarb.
Day Seventeen
This made the list because brownies fill the kitchen with that rich, warm chocolate smell as they bake and the fine icing bows turn them into the sweetest little festive parcels.
Day Eighteen
This made the list because the caramel apple flavour is absolutely spot on, and they’re perfect for sharing. I discovered The Pudding Wagon at Badminton, and it’s lovely to support a small business crafting treats this good.
Day Nineteen
This made the list because you can never have too many polo wraps for schooling, and this soft wisteria shade feels like a little promise of spring, something lovely to put aside and enjoy later.
Day Twenty
This made the list because these little Dala cut-outs are both pretty and practical. A sweet detail that lifts a parcel and doubles as the simplest, loveliest gift tags.
Day Twenty One
This made the list because the silky mulled-wine colour feels instantly cosy, and the Nutcracker design brings a touch of nostalgia that makes winter evenings at home feel even more festive.
Day Twenty Two
This made the list because the delicate designs are so stylish, and each little horse with its draped blanket feels like a quiet nod to my habit of giving my horses full wardrobes. A lovely way to bring my equestrian aesthetic into the house
Day Twenty Three
This made the list because the red and bright pink feel instantly cosy and cheerful. It’s stylish, comfortable, and a lovely reminder that treating ourselves is part of the joy of the season.
Day Twenty Four
This made the list because I love Biscoff and Christmas reindeer and these little treats are the perfect mix of both. Pretzel antlers, chocolate faces, and a red M&M nose make them fun to make and even more fun to enjoy on Christmas Eve.
Happy Christmas
I’m wishing you and your horse a day that feels calm, joyful, and full of the little moments that make this season special whether you’re heading to the yard, enjoying a quiet ride, or simply taking time to breathe.
I hope 2026 brings you confidence, connection, and a year of good rides and good days.
